Your 4G WiFi system.

Nowadays, no business or holiday let can get by without good internet access. Getting online is simply an essential part of everyday life!

So, what do you do when you’re in rural Pembrokeshire or Carmarthenshire, and the fixed-line broadband options open to you range only from bad to worse?

Enter 4G broadband – a revolutionary new way of getting good broadband speeds in rural areas.

How it works.

We work with the 3 main mobile networks in the UK (EE, Vodafone and O2) to bring you the best speeds, wherever you are in West Wales. We will:

  • Install a powerful 4G signal receiver outside the premises
  • Provide a new, long-range wireless access point
  • Optionally, install a larger WiFi system or connecting 4G to your existing network.

Following your enquiry, our team will conduct both a desktop check and an in-person survey before providing full details about what’s available to you.

Grant funding available.

If 4G broadband can double the speed you currently get, you could be eligible for grant funding to cover the cost of the installation.

If during our site survey, we achieve download speeds of 10mbps or more, you could receive £400 funding. This doubles to £800 for connections over 30mbps.

You can find out more information on the Welsh Government website here. Our clients have been successfully making use of the scheme for many years, so we’ll be happy to answer any questions.

Don't just take our word for it.

We design, install and maintain fantastic 4G broadband systems for businesses in Pembrokeshire.

Thank goodness for West Wales Systems! Having been oppressed under the tyranny of BT for far too long we were finally rescued by West Wales Systems. Our upload and download speeds are now at least double what we had with BT and cheaper. West Wales Systems customer service is excellent and we can actually speak to someone without being on hold for half a day. Any minor issues have been resolved instantly and painlessly.

We cannot recommend Anthony and the team at West Wales Systems enough and regret having not found them sooner!

It's a pleasure having you guys at the business, nothing is ever too much trouble and we are really pleased with the results. We went to numerous other companies and asked for quotes but West Wales Systems were by far the most professional!

Your service levels are amongst the best I’ve ever come across, nothing is ever a problem and quality of workmanship is excellent.

I look forward to continuing to work together!

FAQs.

4G broadband speeds can fluctuate depending on a few different things, but typically we see speeds in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire of around 40-80mbps.

After our initial site survey, we’ll be able to give you an indication as to the kind of speeds you should expect. These can go up and down over time, though, based on the 4G network provider’s own capacity and whether they are doing any maintenance.

4G is a great way to get fast broadband speeds almost anywhere in West Wales, but our preference would always be for fixed-line broadband if reliability is an issue.

This is because speeds can fluctuate over time and the mobile masts might struggle to cope if there is an influx of people in the area, for example.

You’d only really notice any issues if you were planning to stream 4K movies, though – for general things like business web browsing and emails, you should be fine.

Like any wireless signal, the closer you can get, the better!

Indoor 4G routers tend to be manufactured cheaply and, although they can be perfectly suited to short-term use, you’ll find your connection to be much faster if you have a professionally installed antenna.

No – we’ll handle all of that for you, so you won’t need to wait on hold for 40 minutes to get through to a call centre or complete any onerous application forms!

Your contract will be with us, and we will be the ones you deal with on an ongoing basis when it comes to support and billing.

We like to offer the shortest possible contract lengths. It’s better all around – you get the freedom to move on if technology improves (or in the unlikely event you don’t like working with us), and we stay motivated to look after you year after year!

For O2 and Vodafone connections there is a 12 month minimum term. EE connections require a 24 month term (their rules, not ours!)

This depends on the network which best serves your area.

We exclusively sell ‘unlimited’ data packages but the networks generally have ‘fair use’ clauses in their agreements. These are typically very high though and we’ve never had any issues despite many of our clients routinely going over their fair use cap.

Let's get talking.
