Senior IT Technician – 7th May 2021

If you’re a charming and confident tech wizard looking for a role where no two days are the same, we want to hear from you.

Due to continued success, we’re looking for an experienced geek to join our team as a Senior IT Technician. This is a new and exciting position where your skills and experience will have a real impact on our customers’ working lives.

We’re a friendly and professional bunch whose job it is to ensure that our B2B clients get the most from their IT and telecoms solutions. We’re driven by knowing that we make a real difference to the small business owner who can’t get their head around those niggling IT issues, or to the Operations Manager of a large international corporation who needs to know that their telephone system can cope with their ambitious growth plans.

Our working environment is smart, tidy and clean. Bring your ‘A game’ and we’ll give you everything you need to be a winner.

Although part of your role will involve helping customers remotely over the phone, this is by no means a standard desk job. You’ll be out meeting customers most days, either providing fantastic advice about which solutions will take their business to the next level, or actually installing said solutions once you’ve had the green light.

Our job description outlines some of the main tasks you’ll be expected to perform but for more information, or to arrange an informal chat, please do get in touch.

About you
We’re looking for a positive, friendly person with a great attitude and a burning desire to know more. You must have a full UK driving license for this role and the use of your own car. You need to have the right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, we’ll look to conduct a DBS check before you are confirmed in post.

Some things you’ll want to know:

  • Your starting salary is open to negotiation depending on your skills and experience. We’re open minded about this – we want to get the right person for the role
  • We review all colleagues’ pay yearly in line with both individual and company performance
  • Working hours will normally be 9am-5pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays, but you might have to work shifts or weekend days with 7 days’ notice
  • You might have to help cover our on-call engineer rota after you pass your probation period
  • You’ll be entitled to 22 days leave per year plus bank holidays
  • We have a water cooler and provide soft drinks, squash and occasionally biscuits (depending on how the MD’s diet is going)
  • Tea and coffee is also provided and we have a Tassimo machine if you like something a bit special
  • We offer a great work-life balance and brilliant social opportunities
  • You will need a good understanding of Microsoft desktop products i.e. Windows 10 and the Office suite
  • You should have a good understanding of servers and network infrastructure
  • You will need to show that you can use correct spelling and grammar as you’ll be writing documentation for others to follow
  • Your positive and friendly attitude will put you head and shoulders above the rest of the applicants for this post.

IT Installer (Casual) – 19th November 2021

We’re looking for a bright spark to join our growing Pembrokeshire IT company to help us install and look after our clients’ ICT systems. Our offices in Haverfordwest are a hive of activity and we’re busier than ever, helping keep small businesses in West Wales running smoothly at all times.

Ours is a close-knit team of professionals who work closely together and go the extra mile for our customers every single day. No two days are the same and, as one of our IT Team, you’ll take on a wide variety of different responsibilities during your time here.

Our culture is open and positive and our people come from all walks of life. We’re inclusive, encouraging and are strong believers in putting people at the heart of everything we do.

What you’ll do
Your role as an IT Installer will be extremely varied. Your day will usually start in our office at Haverfordwest where you’ll catch up with colleagues and load one of our vehicles with the correct stock and tools for the day. You’ll then spend the majority of the day at our customer sites, working alongside an experienced team member to install new equipment such as CCTV or telephone systems. Our business is very vibrant and every job is different, though, and you’ll be expected to get stuck in to whatever comes your way. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Speaking with our clients to explain the work being done
  • Assisting to build and configure hardware i.e. computers, CCTV systems, telephone systems, data networks
  • Installing hardware at customer sites including using a ladder and power tools where required
  • Washing and vacuuming our vehicles
  • Keeping your workspace clean and tidy
  • Assisting with answering general support queries or troubleshooting issues reported by customers
  • Making sure we have enough stock and tools to complete our work, ordering more when required
  • Be a proactive learner with a natural desire to know more about our company and what we do

About you
We’re looking for a positive, friendly person with a great attitude and an ability to be flexible. You must have a full UK driving license for this role and it would be advantageous if you had use of your own car.

Some things you’ll want to know:

  • Your pay will be £9.50/hour
  • Working hours will normally be between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
  • As this is a casual role, we will book you for specific dates as and when we require your services. There are no guaranteed hours – some months are busier than others.
  • We offer a great work-life balance and brilliant social opportunities (when COVID-19 allows)
  • You should have a basic understanding of how IT equipment links together but full training will be provided
  • Your positive and friendly attitude will put you head and shoulders above the rest of the applicants for this post.
