Are you geared up for the ‘beast’?

Another week, another heavily-publicised major weather event heading our way.

Depending on who you listen to, the rest of this week could either be completely normal for us in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire (i.e. – cold and windy) or we could be heading for a huge snow storm. Dubbed ‘the Beast from the East’, there’s certainly potential for some disruption to our working lives if the worst happens.

When it comes to bad weather, we’re keen to stress the importance of a level-headed and well-planned approach. If there is potential for your business to be disrupted – either through staff not being able to get to work, disruption to power or telephone cables or premises being inaccessible due to snow and ice – as long as your business has a well-rehearsed plan, it’s normally no big issue.

When it comes to keeping your phones answered and your customers informed, we can help. If you’re an existing customer, a quick call or e-mail to us can set all sorts of balls rolling – we can divert your incoming calls anywhere in the world, advise you on how staff can work at home, load a message to your phone lines so your customers know what’s happening and, in some cases, we can even answer calls on your behalf and take messages as if we were sat in your own office.

Whether this weather front develops into something major or not, it’s good to have a plan. If you’re already on board with us, give us a call to discuss options – it’s always good to have a backup plan. If you’re not with us and you don’t have the ability to divert your phones elsewhere in an emergency, now might be a good time to start planning for the inevitable ‘next time’.
